I found this cool video of Lady Sovereign, singing Love Me or Hate Me, live at SummerStage.
This took place in Central Park last year which she headlined. As you can see, she is quite a hit in America, this is quite rare for British artists to achieve but obviously we knew about her universal appeal way back!
5 to 9 Lady Sovereign is the second single from Public Warning, Lady Sovereign's debut album. Also known as 9 to 5, this single was also remixed by The Ordinary Boys and actually became more popular.
5 to 9 Lady Sovereign achieved moderate success and was the follow up to top single, Random.

Lady Sovereign's first US release, Love Me Or Hate Me, will only be a download only release! Bah! I'll find other ways of getting it ;-)
However, good news is that it has been chosen as soundtrack to the Verizon campaign for the new Chocolate LG phone - hence why it will only be available for download by Verizon wireless customers.
Hopefully this will lead to more followers in the US of the grime scene in general, as well as S.O.V.
From what I hear, grime has a lot of respec over there - is that true? Maybe some of our American readers can let us know!
